TETRACHEM 55

Oral liquid

Composition:

Each 1 ml contains: Tetramisole HCl: 55 mg

Properties and indications:

Tetrachem 55 is a broad spectrum anthelmintic effective for the prevention and treatment of pulmonary and gastrointestinal worms (nematodes) in camels, cattle, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, and rabbits.

Tetrachem 55 is also used for treatment of intestinal worms in avian species; roundworms (Ascaridia galli), caecal worms (Heterakis gallinarum), and hair worms (Capillaria spp.) and also lung worms; Syngamus trachea.

Tetrachem 55 exerts its action by neuromuscular paralysis of the parasite.

Dosage and administration:

Orally, in drinking water or with a dosing syringe after the preparation of the dissolution. Add correct dose of tetramisole only to the water which can be totally consumed in 12-24 hours.

Camels, cattle, sheep, goats, dogs, cats and rabbits: 15 mg active/kg body weight.

Repeat after 6 months.

Avian species: 4 mg active / 50 gm body weight (80 mg active/1kg body weight).

For maximum results withhold drinking water for 12 hours prior to treatment.

Repeat treatment after 10 days and then every 3 months.

Withdrawal period:

Meat and eggs: 7 days.

Milk: 1 day.

Precautions:

Do not associate with organophosphate substance (or other which inhibit neuro-muscular transmission) within 14 days before or after treatment with TETRACHEM 55.

Storage:

Store in a dark place at a temperature not exceeding 30 ° C.

Composition:

Each 1 gm contains:

Tetramisole HCl: 300 mg

Properties and Indications:

Tetrachem 30% contains the broad spectrum anthelmintic Tetramisole HCl that is highly effective in the treatment and control of the following gastrointestinal nematodes and lungworms.

  • Sheep, Goats, Camels and Cattle: Gastrointestinal nematodes, including Trichostrongylus, Bunostomum, Ascaris, Nematodirus, Ostertagia, Cooperia, Haemonchus, Trichuris and Strongyloides. Lung Worms including, Dictyocaulus.
  • Horses: Gastrointestinal nematodes, including Strongyloides, Ascaris, and Oxyuris.
  • Poultry: Ascaridia, Heterakis, and Capillaria.

Dosage and administration:

  • Mix the treatment dose of Tetrachem 30% with drinking water or feed, and don’t use it alone.
  • Use a single dose only, and don’t overdose.
  • Overdose may results with signs of head shaking, salivation and licking of lips.
    • For large animals (Sheep, goat, camels, cattle and horse): 150 mg Tetramisole HCl / 10 kg body weight, that equal to 0.5 gm Tetrachem 30% / 10 kg body weight.
    • For poultry: 15 – 20 mg Tetramisole HCl / kg body weight, that equal 0.05 - 0.06 gm Tetrachem 30% /kg body weight .

    Contraindications and warnings:

    • Animals sensitive to Tetramisole HCl should not be treated with Tetrachem 30%
    • Should not be administered to animals with compromised health.

    Withdrawal Period:

    • Meat and egg should not be used during treatment and within 7 days from the last treatment.
    • Milk should not be used during treatment and within 1 day from the last treatment.

    Storage: Store at temperature below 30°C protected from light.

Tetrachem 10% contains the broad spectrum anthelmintic Tetramisole HCl that is highly effective in the treatment and control of the following gastrointestinal nematodes and lungworms.

  • Sheep, Goats, Camels and Cattle: Gastrointestinal nematodes, including Trichostrongylus, Bunostomum, Ascaris, Nematodirus, Ostertagia, Cooperia, Haemonchus, Trichuris and Strongyloides. Lung Worms including, Dictyocaulus.

Leposanide 7.5%

Oral Liquid 

Composition:

Each 1 ml contains:

Levamisole HCl: 75 mg

 

Properties and indications:

Leposanide 7.5% is a broad spectrum anthelmintic for the treatment and control of gastro-intestinal and pulmonary nematode infections in camels, cattle, sheep, and goats, effective against mature and developing immature stages of the following levamisole-susceptible major nematode worm species:

 

Lungworms: Dictyocaulus spp.

 

Gastro-intestinal Worms:

Trichostrongylus spp., Cooperia spp., Ostertagia spp.  (Except inhibited Ostertagia larvae in cattle), Haemonchus spp., Nematodirus spp., Bunostomum spp., Oesophagostomum spp., and Chabertia spp.

Leposanide 7.5% is also used in poultry against Ascaridia spp., Capillaria spp., Heterakis spp. and Amidostomum anseris.


Dosage:

Important: Accurately estimate the bodyweight of animals to be treated before calculating the dose. Do not overdose.

  • Camels, cattle, sheep and goats (Administered as an oral drench only)

1 ml /10kg body weight.

  • Camels and Cattle over 300 kg should be given a further 1 ml for each additional 10 kg bodyweight.
  • Sheep and goats over 60 kg should be given a further 0.5 ml per additional 5 kg bodyweight.
  • Poultry (In drinking water): 0.32 ml / kg b. wt. in half required daily amount of drinking water. Repeat treatment after 21 days.

    Contraindications:

    Animals should not be treated simultaneously or within 14 days before or after use with Organophosphorous compounds or diethylcarbamazine citrate.

    Withdrawal Period:

    Animal products should not be used within 7 days from the last treatment.

    Storage:

    • Store at temperature below 30 ° C.
    • Don't refrigerate.
